Kevin Arnold, having completed his schooling at St Andrews, Bloemfontein, went on to do the Diploma in Cellar Technology at Elsenburg Agricultural College and was also Dux student, and Primarius.

He was invited as guest student to Geisenheim Wine School in Germany and also did practical work at Mondavi Winery in the Napa Valley, California.  Further study tours were taken in Portugal, France, Italy and Chile.

During 1978 – 1979 Kevin worked as a cellar hand at Stellenbosch Farmer’s Winery.  The following 8 years (1979-1987) were spent as winemaker at Delheim Wines, Stellenbosch.  In 1987 he moved to Rust en Vrede Estate where he became winemaker/manager. During 1997 he moved to Waterkloof farm as wine farmer and at the same time winemaker for Waterford Wines (Pty) Ltd.

Kevin has won numerous gold medals on International Shows and has also been chosen as SA Champion Winemaker in 1986 and won the President’s Award for Export in 1995.

He has been Chairman of the Cape Independent Winemakers Guild and is a member of the Stellenbosch Wine Circle, Stellenbosch Golf Club and SASEV.
