Georgie Prout

Georgie graduated with a Bachelor of Wine Marketing from the University of Adelaide’s, Roseworthy Campus, the institution where many of Australia’s great winemakers earned their degrees in Oenology. During her university holidays she worked for Brown Brothers in the Milawa region in North-East Victoria. In 1998, Georgie joined Peter Lehmann Wines as a Tasting Room Assistant.  In 1999 Georgie accepted the position of Cellar Door Assistant Manager, held until 2001 when she was made the Peter Lehmann Wines Cellar Door Manager, a position she held for 4 years. In 2005 Georgie was appointed as the Public Relations Coordinator until taking on the newly formed role of Barossa Hospitality Manager in early 2006. After a rewarding 9 years with Peter Lehmann Wines, Georgie took the opportunity to move to the Hess Family Vineyards South African Winery, Glen Carlou, where she holds the position of Consultant and Public Relations Manager.

Georgie’s career highlights so far include being part of the Peter Lehmann Team which won three State Tourism Awards and a National Tourism Award for Best Tourism Winery as well as having the opportunity to experience and work in different wine regions around the world.
